AIMS Athletics Primary and Secondary

Primary

The AIMS athletics meet offered our primary athletes another fantastic opportunity to experience the thrill of competition. While athletics isn't one of our primary competitive focus sports, it remains a highly popular EPA. Students who attended throughout seasons one and two relished the chance to showcase their dedication. With a squad of 53 children competing across various track and field events, the energy was high. Our younger members are already asking about the next meet, while the U11 team is already looking forward to their future with the secondary team.

Stats from the meet:

• 1st place finishes: 4
• 2nd place finishes: 9
• 3rd place finishes: 19

The following children had two podium finishes, well done:

• Jake T, Hannah Y, Barney W, Minjae K, Claudia L, Max B and Amelia T.

The following children went a step further and earned three podium finishes, a fantastic achievement:

• Mario MV and Maruti G

Secondary

The AIMS Athletics Meet gave our secondary athletes a fantastic opportunity to put their training into action and experience the excitement of competition, with many athletes delivering strong results across a range of track and field events. Over two days, athletes demonstrated great determination and resilience, competing with enthusiasm despite challenging weather conditions.

Stats from the meet:

• Gold medals: 10
• Silver medals: 3
• Bronze medals: 3

There were several strong performances across the team, with notable results by:

• Sol, Danyal and Zahara in the 100m and 200m
• Asher in the 400m
• Zahara in High Jump
• Riess in Shot Put, Discus and Javelin

Coaches were particularly pleased with the team’s attitude, teamwork and determination throughout the competition.
