As another exceptional year of sport comes to a close, we reflect with immense pride on a year defined by outstanding performances, unforgettable experiences, and continued growth across every area of the Alice Smith Secondary sports programme.

Throughout the year, our student-athletes represented the school with distinction, embracing opportunities to compete, travel, host and develop both on and off the field. Whether wearing the KLASS Lions colours across Southeast Asia or welcoming visiting schools to Kuala Lumpur, our students consistently demonstrated resilience, teamwork and sportsmanship.

One of the year's defining achievements was our role as hosts of four major international events. The Secondary Campus proudly welcomed schools from across the region for all three FOBISIA Netball Championships (U13, U15 and U18), before concluding the hosting calendar with the prestigious SEASAC Tennis Championships. These events showcased not only the quality of competition but also the incredible commitment of our staff, students, officials and parent volunteers, who created first-class experiences for every visiting team.

The year also marked another significant milestone as Alice Smith proudly sent a golf team to compete at the World School Games in St Andrews, Scotland, for the very first time. Competing at one of the most iconic golfing destinations in the world was a memorable experience for our students and represented another exciting step in the continued growth of our international sporting programme.

On the field, our athletes continued to raise the bar. Across the AIMS calendar, Alice Smith teams claimed more than half of all AIMS championship titles contested this year—an outstanding achievement that reflects the depth, consistency and strength of our sports programme. Success came across multiple sports and age groups, highlighting the hard work of our athletes and coaches throughout the year.

This season also marked an important milestone in the development of our football programme. Students successfully transitioned from 7-a-side to the full 11-a-side format, embracing the increased tactical, physical and technical demands with confidence. Their rapid progression demonstrated not only individual improvement but also the effectiveness of our long-term player development pathway.

While success on the scoreboard is always celebrated, this year was equally about growth. Students developed as athletes, leaders and teammates, embracing new challenges, representing the school with pride and creating memories that will last a lifetime. The experiences gained through training, competition and hosting international events continue to shape confident, resilient young people who embody the values of Alice Smith Sport.

As we celebrate another memorable year, we now look ahead with great excitement to what promises to be another landmark chapter for Alice Smith Sport.

Next year will see the opening of our brand-new, state-of-the-art KLASS Tennis Centre—an outstanding facility that will further enhance opportunities for our students to train, compete and develop in one of the region's premier school tennis environments. The centre represents a significant investment in sport at Alice Smith and reinforces our commitment to providing world-class facilities that inspire participation, excellence and lifelong engagement in physical activity.

With exceptional facilities, an ambitious sporting programme and a community that continues to embrace every opportunity, the future of Alice Smith Sport has never looked brighter.

On behalf of the entire PE and Sport Department, thank you to our students, staff, parents, coaches and supporters for another remarkable year. Your passion, commitment and encouragement continue to make Alice Smith Sport one of the leading school programmes in the region.

Go KLASS Lions!
