Weekly Sports Recap
Team: U11 Football
Date: 19th - 23rd May
The Patana 7 tournament in Bangkok provided an unforgettable experience for our U11 boys and girls teams. Known for its highly competitive environment, the tournament offered a unique challenge and valuable learning opportunity for our players.
The first day saw both teams navigating a tough start. Facing strong opposition and adjusting to a new setting, our players initially found it difficult to settle. However, they quickly found their rhythm, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and true character. As the day progressed, performances improved significantly, and the teams began playing with confidence and cohesion.
Day two proved to be even more successful. Our U11 Boys were just moments away from securing a place in the Plate category, only to be denied by a brilliant last-minute comeback from their opponents. Undeterred, they continued to grow throughout the day, ultimately qualifying for the Bowl knockout stage. Their determination paid off as they delivered a strong team performance and triumphed in the Bowl final.
The U11 Girls mirrored this success with an equally impressive comeback on the second day, securing a well deserved spot in the Bowl final and finishing in the same position as the boys.
Both teams displayed outstanding commitment, growth, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and look forward to building on this experience in future competitions.
This trip was more than just football. It was a celebration of growth, teamwork, and shared achievement. Everyone, from teachers, coaches, and parents felt a deep sense of pride watching the players rise to the occasion. It was a journey that not only brought out the best in our students but also brought our community closer together.
