U11 FOBISIA Football

Team: U11 Boys and Girls

Event Date: 26th February to 1st March

Venue: Bangkok, Shrewsbury International School

Opponents: International schools from Southeast Asia

The month of February culminated in the U11 footballers testing themselves on the international stage…and they rose to the challenge like true LIONS! 

The group stages brought the anticipated highs and lows as both teams settled into their new environment. There were heavy defeats, huge victories, hard-fought wins and desperately close defeats. After each game, the children were able to reflect on what had gone well and what would be needed for the next challenge.

On day two, both teams began their pursuit of the plate trophy; however, neither boys nor girls could overcome the hurdle of the semi-final. This left the 3rd and 4th place play-offs. Fresh from defeat, both teams took a positive mentality to the pitch and eventually overcame their opponents - the boys coming from behind to be victorious and the girls hanging onto a one-nil lead all the way to the end.

Looking ahead, the final stop of the season is now just around the corner. U11 AIMS Football, I hope you are ready for the KLASS LIONS!
