Happy New Year and a very warm welcome back as we begin Term 2. To the new students and families joining Juniors this term: we are so delighted to have you with us. You are joining a vibrant school community, and we very much look forward to getting to know you as you settle into your new home.

At our school, belonging is foundational to everything we do. We believe that when a child feels at home they gain the confidence to explore, learn, and grow. This sense of connection is a collective effort - a partnership between students, staff and parents. Whether through a friendly greeting at the gate or supporting one another in the classroom, we work together to ensure every child knows they are a valued part of our community.

A busy term awaits! Some of the highlights that we are looking forward to include:

  • Lunar New Year celebrations. Our Year 3 students will be leading our celebration assembly, and Year 3 parents are warmly invited to join. All students will also be treated to our traditional Lion Dance, and we invite our community to share in this special event.
  • Preparations are underway for our Year 4 residential trip to Port Dickson. This is a wonderful chance for students to build independence, strengthen social ties and create shared memories outside of the classroom.
  • Year 5 is starting to rehearse their Battle of the Bands performances. We look forward to welcoming Year 5 parents to witness the creativity and teamwork that goes into these performances.
  • Our Year 6 students will be leading our Hari Raya celebrations at the end of term, and again, parents are invited to share in this with us. Students will also be visiting our secondary campus as part of their transition to Year 7 - this tim,e they will be immersed in a Languages experience.  This term also sees the start of the Year 6 ‘Purpose’ work, in association with Heriot-Watt University. This initiative helps each student develop their own sense of purpose, providing a springboard for them to take positive action in the world.

Building a strong partnership with parents is a priority for us. This term, we look forward to keeping you connected through hands-on learning opportunities, 1:1 meetings and our parent workshop series.

We are very much looking forward to the months ahead - a term defined by learning, opportunity and community. Thank you for your continued support in making our school a place where every child can thrive.
