At Alice Smith School, we believe that every child’s journey into reading should be joyful, purposeful and built upon strong foundations. In the Early Years, reading is so much more than recognising words on a page - it’s about developing curiosity, imagination and a lifelong love of stories.
In today’s high-pressure world, young people often face significant challenges when performing under pressure - not only in competitive sports but also in exams, public speaking and other key moments of their development. At Alice Smith School, we have taken an innovative and holistic approach to tackle this challenge through our bespoke ‘Beyond the Game’ programme. This initiative, developed in partnership with mental wellbeing experts Future Action, is transforming how students build confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
