The Alice Smith School Juniors curriculum is undergoing an exciting transformation!
We endeavour to provide an engaging, creative and inspirational curriculum where children have agency to investigate and explore deeper learning opportunities within topics through research, questioning and interviewing experts, in order to fully emerse themselves and gain a greater understanding of the topics we cover in class. During Term 1a we will learn about-
Persuasive Writing
Poetry
Place Value
Term 1b
Creative Arts, Deepavali performance
Stories from Other cultures
The Girl Who Planted a Tree
Food and Nutrition
Additiona and Subtraction/Shape
We encourage parents to share their thoughts and suggestions for the next term, fostering a culture of open communication. Here is the link for parent feedback.
We welcome communication and look forward to meeting you in person at the Welcome Evening and Settling In Meetings. Our priority is to keep your child safe and happy every day in our school and we are very excited to get to know your special little humans and help them grow on their learning journey.
