Personal Review Day: Pathways

Two Pathways for Your Convenience

Since all educators will be involved in the Personal Review Conversations throughout the day, there are two pathways available for your convenience:

Pathway 1

Bring your child to school, meet their tutor/co-tutor and explore the various presentations and stalls at your own pace. This pathway allows you to spend quality time with your child, engage in meaningful conversations, and make informed decisions together. Afterward, you can reflect on the day's insights from the comfort of your home.

Pathway 2

For students who choose to be in school all day, we have crafted a dedicated Health and Wellness Carousel of sport and wellness related learning activities, which students must sign up for in advance. Your child will meet with you at the allotted time for their Personal Review Conversation before returning to their activities. 

Aim

The aim of this pathway is to give students the chance to experience a range of sport, health and wellness activities that will support the integration of these activities into their lifestyle.

Process

Students will have the opportunity to nominate their preferred activities in the lead up to the day. They will do this with their tutors. The day itself is split into three sessions (07:55-10:10; 10:35-12:15; and 13:00-14:45). Based on their choices, we will allocate students to one activity per session. For safety reasons, activities have a maximum group size. Students will be allocated on a first come basis. Students will not be able to opt into this pathway or individual sessions on the day itself.

Carousel Activities

1. Rounders                   

Step up to the plate and swing for the fences in a spirited game of rounders! This entertaining bat-and-ball game not only guarantees laughs but also hones your hand-eye coordination and teamwork skills.

2. Boxing                                                   

Channel your inner Rocky and have a blast while learning the art of boxing. Sharpen your reflexes, improve agility, and work up a sweat in a lively session that's as much about skill development as it is about enjoyment.

3. Fun Swim Races                                       

Make a splash and take part in our lighthearted swim races. Dive into the pool, challenge friends to friendly races, and watch as your swimming skills improve while you're having a whale of a time.

4. Under-13 Football                                         

A mini under-13 football tournament designed to nurture skills and teamwork. Be part of the joy and showcase dribbling, passing, and goal-scoring prowess.

5. Boys Basketball                                        

Score points and have a ball in our basketball matches that combine skill development with friendly competition. Dribble, pass, and shoot your way to victory while learning the art of teamwork and strategy.

6. Climbing                                            

Challenge yourself and conquer new heights on our climbing wall. With every ascent, you'll not only gain a sense of accomplishment but also enhance your problem-solving abilities and physical agility.

7. Volleyball                                                    

Set, spike, and serve your way to fun in our lively volleyball matches. Develop your teamwork and coordination skills while enjoying the playful rivalry that defines this dynamic sport.

8. Badminton                                              

Serve up a good time in badminton matches that emphasize skill refinement and friendly competition. Hone your hand movements, reflexes, and strategic thinking while engaging in spirited rallies.

9. Strength and Conditioning (S&C)            

Get stronger and fitter while having a blast in our S&C sessions. Whether lifting weights or performing bodyweight exercises, you'll improve your physical prowess and enjoy the process.

10. Swim Performance                                

Dive into swim performance sessions that are all about enhancing your strokes and technique while maintaining a joyful atmosphere. Challenge yourself in a supportive environment that celebrates progress.

11. Netball                                                  

Sharpen your passing, shooting, and teamwork skills in netball matches that strike the perfect balance between learning and playing. Engage in spirited gameplay that brings out the best in everyone.

12. Yoga                                                         

Find your zen while having fun in our invigorating yoga sessions. Through playful postures and relaxation, you'll develop flexibility, balance, and a deeper connection to your body and mind.

13. Dance                                                 

Express yourself through dance, where skill development meets artistic expression. Learn moves, groove to the rhythm, and experience the joy of movement in a supportive and upbeat environment.

14. Tennis                                                   

Serve, rally, and volley your way to improve tennis skills. Enjoy friendly matches that help refine your technique, enhance your focus, and let you have a ball on the court.

15. Rugby                                                  

Experience the thrill of rugby as you develop your passing, tackling, and strategic thinking abilities. Join a session that fosters teamwork and a deeper appreciation for this energetic sport.

16 Athletics (track) 

Feel the rush of the track as you participate in various athletics events. Improve your speed, coordination, and endurance while enjoying the spirit of healthy competition.

17. Parkour                                             

Navigate obstacles with flair in parkour challenges that promote skill development and creative movement. Embrace agility, balance, and fluidity as you overcome obstacles with a sense of adventure.
