Our carol service at St.Mary’s Cathedral on Thursday evening
was an opportunity to pause and reflect on the approaching Christmas period,
with our students and staff generously contributing their time and their
wonderful musical talents to make this a very special occasion.
Our thanks to
Reverend Andrew Cheah and the St. Mary’s community for inviting us into their
lovely cathedral and sharing this special time with us. Thanks also to the PTA
for supporting the service by providing light refreshments.
Please come and support our PTA this Saturday at our annual Christmas Bazaar from 16:00 to 19:00
at the Primary Campus. Take the opportunity to do some gift shopping, enjoy the
wonderful festive community atmosphere and help to contribute to the charities
that our PTA support through their generous gift of voluntary work on behalf of
our school community.
Last but certainly not least, join us for a good old fashioned
sing-along at our Carols by Candlelight in the JB Hall on
Tuesday evening, 16th December.
Seeing our JB Dining Hall in operation this week has been well worth
waiting for. There were smiling, happy and contented faces, young and old,
through the week during the lunch time trials. With the One Stop Centre opening
in January, it will be great to have this new building fully operational at
Today we have launched our KLASS Android App.Together with our Apple App and our KLASS Twitter and Facebook accounts , we hope that these options will allow you to stay more connected with
our school. On Tuesday, all families will receive a copy of our 2015 desktop
calendar which has a focus on the creative and expressive arts.
Good luck to our Torpedo swimmers this weekend
at the BPS Feeding Frenzy, our last competition before Christmas in what has
been a packed and eventful term of sport commitments.
I would like to extend my best wishes to
everyone for a peaceful and joyous Christmas period and a safe, happy and
successful New Year. I would like to thank our staff, teaching and
non-teaching, for their tremendous efforts this first term. A special thank you
to all our parent volunteers who contribute so much in different areas and at
different levels to the betterment of our school community.
Please remember that our last day of term,
Wednesday 17th December, finishes at 12noon. All teaching staff are back in
school on Tuesday 6th January for an INSET day, with classes resuming for
students on Wednesday 7th January 2015.
