This year has been hugely positive at EP and we have learnt and grown together in so many ways. We have had a wide variety of opportunities for our students to learn, both inside and outside of the classroom and I would like to reflect on some of our most recent events.
The Summer Concert held earlier this month was a terrific evening of music with an eclectic mix ranging from Star Wars to Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance. What was lovely to see was the number of students participating and how much they were enjoying playing and performing together.
The MAD Show was a wonderful celebration of the motivation, hard work, dedication and vision of our incredibly talented students. The creation of art, media and design is challenging. For many students, the DT, Art and Media Departments became a second home as students worked tirelessly and with passion to create their final pieces. It really was a world ‘KLASS’ exhibition!
Last week we held our annual Summer Sports Festival with students participating in their Houses in flipperball, rounders, netball and touch rugby. There was a great atmosphere on campus and some strong performances. Even a storm blowing in for the afternoon failed to dampen our spirits and lots of fun was had by all.
This week we have celebrated student achievements through our presentation assemblies and we also said farewell to our graduating class of 2017 with the valedictory assembly yesterday morning and prom last night. It has been a pleasure to be part of their educational journey and we thank them for all they have done to shape our school.
Our first trips depart early tomorrow morning with twelve different trips taking place - from Mongolia to Melbourne and Borneo to Bintan - we know that our staff and students will have amazing and enriching experiences and will make lasting memories. Please remember that today is our last day on campus as our trips arrive back into KL at varying times.
Have a lovely weekend
