As you may or may not be aware but the Rugby World cup ended at the weekend and New Zealand were victorious over Australia in a great final.
Before the start of the tournament, I sent around a link to the official 'dream team' website and from Alice Smith (staff and students) we had 53 entries. You were able to make transfers and alterations to your team throughout the tournament. Out of the 53 entrants, the top 10 teams were selected by:
1 - Laura Keeling - 'Yorkshire Puddings'
2 - Niall Dickens - 'WC Heroes'
3 - Taishi Kimura-Davies - 'TKD Beast' - THE HIGHEST PLACED STUDENT MISSING 2nd PLACE BY 1 POINT.
4 - Philip Welch - 'Philip James Welch'
5 - Kofi Thorpe - 'Cranking'
6 - Jun Fung - 'The Asian Canaries'
7 - Rob KD - 'RKD'
8 - Jack Cane - 'The rugby lads'
9 - Anna Meier - "Anna Meiers Dream Team'
10 - Nick Lee - 'My Lazier Team'
Congratulations to all the people who finished in the top 10.
World wide there were 48,087 teams created... Laura's team's overall score in the whole world was 200th, which is an amazing achievement. She was 63rd in the whole of England and 1st in the whole of Malaysia. To put that into perspective, Niall Dickens who came second in the Alice Smith league, came 2050th overall.
On the flip side the person who came last in the Alice Smith league, in 53rd position was Tobin Connell, who overall was in 44,730th place.
Thank you for all of you who entered a team.
