Alice Smith School hosted this years edition of ISAC Swimming Championships at Equine Park. It was the first major meet the pool had hosted since the 2009 U15 FOBISIA Games and was somewhat of a larger event:-
521 relay swimmers
132 relay teams
66 KLASS Torpedoes
At the end of the first (Primary) day KLASS Torpedoes had a 120 point led, had won the Primary School Cup and had been crowned champions for U9 girls, U9 boys and U11 boys.
Day 2 (Secondary) KLASS Torpedoes started strongly and we knew that a strong GIS secondary team would sweep the relays. We had to therefore defend our lead. We managed to do this for about 2 hours but eventually the senior teams of GIS were just too strong. GIS took the secondary championship and the overall winner trophy too with KLASS runners up.
Over the course of the meet there were 47 ISAC records broken which is testament to the raising standard of ISAC Swimming. Of these 11 ISAC records were set by KLASS Torpedoes:-
