What a busy week!
It was great to see
the Campus so busy this week, thank you to all of you who helped put up
Halloween decorations, supported assemblies, attended the parent workshop on
Maths Setting etc. The Campus was abuzz with positive energy!
Preparations for the
return visit of the British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection team are
complete. Every three years, we choose to have our practice audited and
compared to the best UK schools by Department for Education approved
inspectors. Similar to Ofsted in the UK, BSO will grade each Campus next week
on key areas of our provision. I am sure you will join me in welcoming our
guests and will support us as we show Alice Smith School Primary Campus as the
extraordinary, warm, welcoming learning environment that we know it is. I will
endeavour to bring one or two of the inspectors to Principal’s drop in at the
deli on Thursday to meet with a few of you so that you can have your say!
The weekend is here
again. Half term already feels a long time ago. We hope to see many of you at the
Halloween Carnival here at the Primary Campus from 6pm - 9pm this Saturday.
Just a quick
reminder (or perhaps plea!) given that the BSO inspectors are in school on
Monday to Thursday next week, can you please ensure that each child is in full
school uniform and that there are no “visible” effects of any of the “Halloween
makeovers” when they come to school on Monday. We would love the inspectors to
see the Campus in the best possible light!
