This year the Sixth Form Leadership team had the hugely difficult task of electing prefects from the largest number of applications received to date.
The calibre of applications this year was tremendously impressive, as students showed their dedication and interest through CVs and letters of application which were diverse and extensive.
The letters and CVs were then issued to respective departments for review and rating. These applications were then short-listed to a few candidates that would be interviewed by both a member of the leadership team and the head student team. Having had personal experience with school interviews, I know first hand how extremely intimidating and nerve-racking they can be, so all students did brilliantly considering the pressures that were put upon them. This made it all the more difficult for us to choose who the final group of prefects would be as there were so many deserving students, but we had to come to a final decision.
We’re enormously proud of our academic, sports, house and senior prefects this year, and confident that all of them will thrive in their positions, taking on any and all challenges they’re faced with. I look forward to the coming year with all our newly appointed leaders and wish them the best of luck. For those who were not successful in the appointment process, I am confident that they will have opportunities to take up leadership experiences offered throughout the year.
