year, the Junior Interschool Maths Competition was held at the Secondary Campus
where 25 teams from 10 schools battled it out to win the Competition trophy.
This competition was initiated by Garden International School as a mini SEAMC
challenge for the younger students four years ago and last year Alice Smith
brought the trophy home.
year Alice Smith entered 3 teams, 2 from Year 8 and 1 from Year7.

a warm up session unravelling human knots, the individual round provided a
challenge to all participants. Next up was team Dragon Round; a cross between
problem solving and a sprint race. The students spent an exhausting hour both
physically and mentally with only a brief break before heading on to the
Carousel round. This round challenged the students to a set of kinaesthetic
problems under strict timing.
final round of the day was the Maths Trail which required the students to
navigate across the campus to complete three mini trails before returning to
solve a mathematical code.
all the points were awarded, Garden International took back the trophy with Team
KLASSICAL in 9th place overall and team KLASSIC won the Maths Trail.
