Work is progressing on the Dining Hall
and One Stop Centre and plans are now well underway to introduce the students
to this new facility in Term 1.
The School Council have been involved
in writing the rules and expectations for the dining hall and there will be
some class and year group visits timetabled to walk through these procedures,
early in the term, in preparation for the opening of the kitchen.

We are polite and say ‘please’ and ‘thank-you’
We use good table manners
We only talk when there isn’t food in our mouth
We put our hand up if we need help or want to leave our
leave our table clean and tidy away our tray and plates
Menu development is underway and the
food group is working with Alison Nadarajah and the caterer to design healthy
yet appealing choices that are child appropriate. At the beginning of term
students, staff and parents will have the opportunity to sample the menu. While
we make final menu choices and teach the students how to use the new facilities
the current deli services will continue.
During the first few weeks of operation
we will have additional support from staff to ensure that the students
familiarise themselves with the routines and that the expectations are set for
a high level of manners and behaviour.
