hope that you made good use of the Wesak Day holiday on Tuesday enjoying time
with family and friends?
week’s Principal’s message is riddled with reminders…
first, please check out the news stories and articles on the website through
the link that is sent out each week. Modern technology allowed us, at the
beginning of January, to add a button so you can flick through all the articles
one after the other without returning to the home page – a quick and easy way
of ensuring you see all of the articles for the week. The option to filter the
news features by using the tabs at the bottom of the page means, if you have
students just at JB or just at EP, you can sort the articles and just read those
pertinent to you. Take a look here if you have not
visited the news pages recently.
news stories and ‘thank you’ notes. On the Parent Portal, under Comms you will
find the ‘Notes of thanks’ page where we
share messages from parents, students and other professionals about the school.
If you are looking for some good news this is a great place to find positive
this time of year we say ‘farewell’ to families, colleagues
and friends moving to pastures new. A new addition to the Parent Portal is the
‘Klassifieds’ section where items for sale from members of the Alice Smith
community can be placed and shared. This is in addition to the traditional
‘parents noticeboard’ at the Y3/4 dismissal area at JB. If you are looking to
move house locally or internationally this is a great place to advertise any
wares that are not taking the move with you! Take a look at the items currently
on offer here.
take the time to complete the parent survey that was emailed to you last week.
Each family with a child / children at each Campus was sent the link. If you
have children at both Campuses you will have received two emails so that you
can separate your feedback as appropriate. We use the information collected for
a wide range of research and greatly appreciate your thoughts and comments. For
your information we also survey the students and the staff to glean their views
of the school and those surveys are running concurrently with yours.
