We have had a vibrant, busy yet rewarding and enjoyable Term 2 at the Alice Smith School, a true reflection of the underlying ethos of our school.
I would like to mention two events in particular, both of which took place last week and both involving a large number of students, staff and parents. The Primary FOBISIA Performing Arts Carnival, proudly hosted by the Alice Smith School this year, was a resounding success. Please take a moment to read Jaime Thistleton’s article here. The Sixth Form team of students who organised, hosted, served and performed at the Alice Smith School Charity Dinner were a credit to their school. Student and Interact Club Funding Director, Su Khi Wei has written an article on the event here.
Thank you for the many words of thanks we have received over the last week following these two successful events. We feel it is important to share just a few of these with you so we have created a Notes of Thanks page on our Parent Portal which contains a selection of all the kind words we have received this term. They mean such a lot to the teachers and students; thank you for taking the time to write to us.
Finally to mark the end of term today, the Primary Campus enjoyed an Easter performance of dancing, song and mime by the CCF and yellow signaled the arrival of the spring holiday at the Secondary Campus as students raised money for their nominated charities as part of Muir House Day.
I would like to wish you all a very happy holiday and look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday 22nd April for Term 3.
