Our Under 15s played against KTJ on the 21st of November. This was not one of our best games and I think all the players would agree. In the first half, we were slow to start which lead to the KTJ team scoring a couple of unanswered tries.
There were definitely things to improve on and after a positive half time talk. We picked up our game drastically and had a hope of winning. We began the second half a whole lot better and with a more organised defensive line, were able to compete at the breakdown and pressurise the KTJ attacks. Just as our game was getting into gear and we were playing with attacking fluidity and shape, the final whistle came too soon. Victory would have been hard, but definitely possible. To ensure victory in our next game, we need to make sure we are prepared to play from the first whistle and not find ourselves playing catch-up rugby.
