Mathematics is a focus at the Primary Campus this week as we host the FOBISIA Primary Maths Challenge, following on from our successful hosting of the U13 Games at the Secondary Campus last weekend. The 2-days of competition, learning and fun involving 36 schools and close to 200 children from all parts of Asia began this morning with a Maths trail around KLCC.
Next weekend our students are participating in FOBISIA Primary Performing Arts Carnival hosted by Kellett School in Hong Kong, SEASAC Badminton and Softball in Jakarta and Myanmar.
We are always trying to improve our school communication and our KLASS Times newsletter is an important way of sharing information with the school community. Next Tuesday, we will be asking you to complete a short survey to give us some helpful feedback about the newsletter.
We appreciate your continuing support in maintaining a safe and secure environment in and around our campuses. Mr Verity wrote to you earlier this week about our security procedures and some general security advice at the Primary Campus. We have increased security patrols in place in our car parks during the busy drop-off and pick-up periods and a police car visiting regularly throughout the day, patrolling both the Jalan Bellamy side and Jalan Kerayong sides of school.
Mrs Howling also shared this week about our security procedures and upgrades at the Secondary Campus. We have invested in CCTV coverage for the campus and are upgrading our perimeter fencing in phases. You may have also noticed increased security measures on entering our site and our reminder of expectations about drivers and visitors to our campus. In addition, for EP students who need to wait at JB after activities in the afternoon, we have reminded them that they should wait inside the campus gates and not on the road.
We are in regular contact with the British High Commission to ensure that we are kept up-to-date with the most recent security advice. The safety and welfare of our school community is always very high priority and we review the security of our school campuses regularly as part of our on-going risk management procedures.
The KLASS Charity Dinner is on Friday 21st April this year, not long after we return for Term 3. Come along and enjoy a wonderful evening of entertainment and fun, led by our talented Sixth Formers and all for a good cause. Save the date and start to book your tickets!
