Welcome back Year 6!
We have been following your residential trip on Twitter with great envy… all that sun, sea, sand, botany, bonding and bathing, but most of all your love of learning! We hope you have a well deserved rest this weekend and we can’t wait to hear all about your adventures on Monday!
ECAs have started this week and I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful students and staff who manned the ‘help desks’ each afternoon. This was a new initiative from Mr Kerr, our excellent ECA coordinator, which proved to be very positively received. Students could check and cross-correlate their diaries with the help desks so that they could independently make their way to the correct venues! Record numbers of students taking part again this term - always wonderful to see the extra-curricular breadth of our school balancing out our curriculum excellence.
Very exciting news for enrollment next year. If you have a child who will be 3 in the next academic year, then you will be delighted to know that from September we will be providing two Pre-School programmes at JB; a half-day programme that will run from 7.45am to 12noon and a full-day programme that will run from 7.45am to 1.45pm. Please contact our admissions department for more information on firstname.lastname@example.org. A link to an article about the provision and some FAQ can be found here.
Looking ahead to next week, Pret-a-portrait are in school creating beautiful panoramic class photographs on Monday and Tuesday - please check the letter for more information here.
Year 3 are off to the textile museum and our Parent Workshop is on homework and home learning- a very interesting subject for parents with children of all ages - how can you support learning appropriately at home…Come along and contribute to the discussion. See you there!
