The British High Commission of Kuala Lumpur are hosting a party to celebrate H M Queen Elizabeth II official 90th Birthday. They invite all Alice Smith students to compete to write a poem to be displayed at the party.
- Challenge - write a birthday celebratory poem in honour of Her Majesty’s 90th birthday AND/OR
- Create an imaginative piece of art which highlights Her Majesty's reign and/or her 90th birthday.
- Artwork should be 2D and no larger than A2 and no smaller than A4. Pencil, pen, paint, charcoal. pastels or collage can be used.
If successful your poem/artwork will be displayed at the British High Commission of Kuala Lumpur, this would be a great honour for you and our school. Every entrant will receive a house point.
Deadline - Monday 18th April, all entries to be submitted to the front office. Put your name, class and Alice Smith School on the back of your poem/art work.
Be creative, which of the poetic techniques that you have learned can you apply to this challenge? Think carefully about how to decorate your poem and make it eye catching, remember it will be part of the party room decorations.
