The Alice Smith School recently had the honour of hosting the annual SEASAC golf tournament. This was the first time the school had hosted such a prestigious golf event.
The venue that was selected was Nilai Springs golf and country club and I would like to thank the staff there for the help and support they provided during the running of the tournament.
Over the course of the weekend 12 schools and over 100 golfers took part. Throughout the event the competitors were ably assisted by a team of; caddies, coaches, teachers and parents. The tournament was eventually won by an outstanding Rumrudee International School team although each and every one of the golfers walked away with a immense sense of pride.
Each and every competitor I spoke to either on the first tee or the eighteenth green thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would like to publically thank Mr Potter, Mr Rodway, Mr Spittal and Mrs Chong for their hard work. I would also like to praise our team of volunteers including our Junior Sports Leader students for their hardwork and dedication to making the event a successful one.
The KLASS golfers were a credit to the school and performed well under difficult weather conditions and a challenging course set up. Well done to; Andrez Stephens, Daniel Tok, Ryan Lee, Sebastian Moss, Kehan Ellis, Raymond Lee and Victoria Tan for the determination, flair and resilience they demonstrated throughout the event.
