Over 300 Key Stage 2 children have already been busy this week building the Gym, Year 3 and 4 block, Art room, Field, and Year 5 and 6 block in Minecraft. It hasn’t been without it’s problems. Rather suspiciously the gym burnt down on Monday, but it’s back up now and lessons are continuing as normal.
Next week Key Stage 1 children and Foundation stage will have the opportunity to come and help build their block and playground.
The project has seen many Year 5 and 6 students coaching the other students (and teachers) in how to build in Minecraft. This has been an excellent opportunity for these students to learn more about being effective leaders. Next week the rest of the building will start to take shape and on Monday afternoon the teachers will have the opportunity to learn the basics by building the administration block and staffroom.
