As Term 3 draws to a close, we are putting into place the
final plans for our Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) team to move into their
wonderful new suite of classrooms and breakout spaces (see here for photos).
The old, square, dark
classrooms have been replaced with bright, airy spaces with areas for students
to spread out and learn collaboratively and independently along the lines of
the English, Maths and Science areas that have proved to be so successful.
Students will commence their MFL learning in these venues straight after the
Easter break and I look forward to hearing more about their experiences in the
At the same time, we will be moving into our new
administration wing which will house:
admin offices, lost and found, transport, accounts, reprographics
leaders including Assistant Key Stage Leaders (AKSLs) for KS3 and 4, Key
Stage Leaders (KSLs) for KS3 and 4 and our Enrichment Leader

will move all of their classes to the temporary classrooms thus vacating the
ground floor of the Steve Warry Centre which will in turn allow us to support
our external examinations which run during Term 3.
It’s going to be a busy Easter for our IT, maintenance and
domestic teams so thanks to them in advance of their hard work.
