Education Ministry parliamentary secretary Komala Devi was taken on a tour of the Alice Smith School’s (Equine Park Secondary School) ICT facilities recently.
Komala said the private and government education sectors should co-operate to develop the e-learning process in the national curriculum.
“ICT will continue to empower learning, allowing education to shift away from the constraints of traditional teaching methods,” said school principal Nik Bishop.
“Global education standards and teaching methodology are shifting radically. It is essential that there is continued investment in training head teachers and there needs to be a paradigm shift towards leadership models.”
“The National Professional Qualification for Head Teachers (NPQH) is now mandatory in the United Kingdom and training through the government-backed National College for School Leadership (NCSL) challenges traditional educational management methodology,” he added.
