EDUCATION Ministry parliamentary secretary Komala Devi facilitated an introductory course for Tamil school teachers in the methodology of English as an additional language held at the Alice Smith School (Equine Park) recently.

Although mother tongue languages are important, Tamil schools have grown to recognise the need for English in the global context, and this tie-up is seen as a leading initiative for the community.
