Parent Deposit, refundable This is equivalent to a term's tuition fee and is refundable when the child leaves the school with appropriate notification (financial half term notice). This amount is 'topped-up' as fees increase according to year level.

Re-entry fee, non-refundable (instead of enrolment fee) This sum is payable for children who have left Alice Smith and are returning to the school within a period of 2 years from the date they left school. After 2 years or more, new application terms apply.

Fees Structure Terms
The Tuition fees are payable termly - 3 terms per year. Tuition fees are inclusive of all books, materials and resources.
The compulsory building fund levy is payable termly with the tuition fees.
Third and fourth sibling will be entitled to a 25% and 50% discount on the enrolment fees.
Third and fourth sibling will be given a 6% and 10% discount for Tuition fees.
A discount of 6% will be given to children who have completed 5 consecutive years stay in Alice Smith.
A discount of 7% will be given to children who have completed 7 consecutive years stay in Alice Smith.
A discount of 8% will be given to children who have completed 9 consecutive years stay in Alice Smith.
The Alice Smith School provides a comprehensive bus service, which covers most of the major residential area in Kuala Lumpur. The Alice Smith School assists parents by providing a bus service for students at EP and JB which is regulated by a committee which is overseen by the Council of Governors. Mr. & Mrs Yee are the Bus Contractors. They are contracted by the school and operate our school bus service.

Pupils should be encouraged to wear the correct uniform at all times and maintain a smart appearance. The Primary School Uniform is:-
Pre-School Pre-School have their own T-Shirt and shorts or skirts, short white socks and white canvas shoes. A white hat and optional backpack.
Reception to Year 4 Girls : Green and white gingham dress and short white socks. Boys : White polo shirt with school crest and side slits, dark green shorts and white ankle socks.
Year 5 & 6 Girls : White polo shirt with school crest and side slits, dark green culottes or skirt with short white socks (not low fitting sports socks) Boys : White polo shirt with school crest and side slits, dark green shorts with short white socks (no low sports socks).
All the above items are available at the Uniform Shop. Footwear for Reception to Year 6 Black or dark brown leather shoes. Open toes or heels are not appropriate. Heels should also be low. A limited range of footwear is available at the Uniform Shop, but you may wish to purchase from an outside supplier. It is not always easy to purchase good quality leather shoes in K.L. so you may wish to bring suitable shoes with you if you are moving to Malaysia. Trainers or boots are not allowed even where the trainers are black.
Hair Boys hair must be short and worn above the collar. Girls with long hair are expected to tie it back to keep it away from the face using a black, white, green or green and white band or scrunchy. Children are not allowed to have bleached or coloured hair. Shaved heads are not appropriate. A one-week amnesty operates after main school holidays for hair beading etc.
Jewellery Girls may wear one pair of small studs or flat earrings. Boys may not wear earrings at all. No other form of jewellery, bands or friendship bracelets etc except a simple wristwatch may be worn unless there is a religious reason for doing so. In this case, permission must be given to the wearer by the Vice Principal.
Nail Varnish and Tattoos Pupils may not wear nail varnish at school and tattoos (permanent or temporary) are not allowed.
Chewing Gum Is not allowed in school or on school buses.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION KIT
Pre School No P.E. Kit required.
Reception to Year 2 (Girls & Boys) Named white P.E. T-shirt, green shorts, white P.E. shoes & white hat. Heavy trainers are not suitable at this stage. Children may wear their own swimwear but bikinis and board shorts are not allowed.
Year 3 to Year 6 (Girls & Boys) White P.E. T-shirt (with school crest), appropriate House coloured games T-Shirt without collar, green shorts, House coloured hat and suitable trainers or footwear. (No Bright colours or heely type trainers). Alice Smith swimsuit (hats and protective tops are optional items).
All the above items (except trainers) are available at the Uniform Shop.
Please note that hats are required in school everyday for playtimes. Year 5 & 6 are allowed to wear a black Alice Smith hat at breaktimes but House coloured hats are required for games. NO HAT, NO PLAY is the rule. This applies to after school activities also. All pupils (Reception to Year 6) need a school backpack, sports bag, Art apron, Book Bag and Library Bag (available from the Uniform Shop). Please name clearly all your childs belongings. We do have lost property boxes if your child should lose something and you should call at the office if you would like to check the boxes yourself.
All students must always wear the prescribed school uniform as outlined below. The Alice Smith School has a tradition of high standards and expectations and it is important that students help to maintain the school's reputation in every way. Wearing the school uniform properly and having a presentable appearance is a vital part of giving the right impression. Whether students are on campus or off, when they are in school uniform they are making a very visible statement about what belonging to The Alice Smith School really means. It is the responsibility or every student, therefore, to ensure that they stick to the regulations and do not let the school down.

Hair All students are expected to maintain their natural hair colour and refrain from unconventional or extreme cuts or styles as determined by the school. Hair should be clean and well groomed, avoiding excessive gels.
Footwear Black or brown leather shoes. A limited range of footwear is available at the Uniform Shop, but you may wish to purchase from an outside supplier.

VALUABLES
Jewellery Due to the danger aspect in physical education lessons, all jewellery must be removed. This includes earrings and ankle chains. If earrings cannot be removed they must be taped. Tape is available in a box outside the PE Office. Jewellery must be placed in individual teachers' safe boxes outside the PE Office for safekeeping at the beginning of your lesson. Please place your valuables in the box of the teacher taking you for your lesson. All valuables MUST be named. No guarantee can be given regarding unnamed items being returned to the rightful owner.
Money Money handed in for safekeeping must be placed in a named purse/wallet. No guarantee can be given regarding unnamed purses/wallets being returned to the rightful owner.
