PSHE
I love having friends from all over the world
Jordan, Year 6

Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education is important for creating a happy and successful school environment and for developing students positive self-esteem.

Our PSHE programme, which runs across in all year groups, aims to help the students become aware of themselves and of others through developing the knowledge, skills and understanding they will need through life. We deal with some of the real issues affecting children and young people at a class, school and community level and give them the opportunity to discuss their different experiences, viewpoints and attitudes and to listen and respond appropriately to others.

PSHE is taught through discussion, circle time, drama and assemblies and covers diverse topics from healthy eating to friendship.

Golden Rules

The Primary Campus has a set of Golden Rules which represent the values of the school and the expectations we have for our students. They are an integral part of our school culture, teaching and learning and form a key component of our PSHE lessons.

Golden Rules

  • We are gentle....we don’t hurt others
  • We are kind....we don’t hurt anybodys feelings
  • We listen...we don’t interupt
  • We are honest....we don’t cover up the truth
  • We work hard....we don’t waste time
  • We look after our property....we don’t damage things
